It seems everyone wants the Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge but because it just comes with the Expression machine it is difficult to get. If you have one of the other machines and therefore do not have this cartridge do not fret as there are some options open for you to investigate, other than changing machines at a very high price to pay just for a cartridge!
Firstly you can look into making a trade either permanent or temporary depending on yours and your trading partner’s needs. There are several places you can meet crafters who may be willing to trade such as online forums and message boards and blogs. Just join the forum and leave a post saying what cartridge you are looking for and what ones you would be willing to trade for it. A large number of people visit these forums so it is a great place to look. Of course if you happen to have a lot of crafting friends or attend crafting parties you can try there first!
Another thing you can do is look at local and online classified ads and see if there are any listings. Craigslist is also an option and if they are not living in your areas they will just ship it to you. There are also online stores as a possibility. Though you will not find it from Cricut or in retail stores you may find it from online merchants that are selling it. This is because online merchants sometimes personalize for their customer’s wants and if the customer bought an Expression but asked for a different cartridge, the merchant may have swapped them over and may be left with the Accent Essentials cartridge to sell.
Finally as well as online stores and online classifieds there are also online auction sites like eBay where you can often get fantastic bargains. Just have a shop around and I am sure you will find the cartridge with some work and patience.
