The Cricut cartridge series has over 75 cartridges and this is still growing! Most crafters have to choose the cartridges they want to use based on their own needs and projects as most do not have the money to be able to collect all 75 cartridges. Words or Pictures?
Some crafters like illustrating with pictures and shapes and others prefer captioning and having inspirational phrases and words. Which one do you prefer doing? If you prefer illustrating then it is a good idea to have a basic font cartridge and then build up your shape cartridge collection. If it is the words you prefer then do it the other way around.
Kids?
If you have children or you are a child at heart a great line of cartridges for you would be the licensed character series. This has Sesame Street, Hello Kitty and Disney type cartridges with Mickey and Friends, Pixar Cars, Tinker Bell and Winnie the Pooh to name but a few.
Working on a Budget?
Cartridges retail at around $90 to $100 dollars which can make it it expensive. If you are working from a budget as many people are today, try the Solutions series as these are cheaper usually priced at around $50. Also make sure you watch for sales and special deals in craft stores and online.
Educational user?
There is a series called Classmate that is perfect for teachers or people that work in Education and wish to use the cartridges as a teaching resource.
So it is obvious that the Cricut cartridge has quite an extensive line and there is no need to get them all if you are not going to use them. Cricut cartridges on sale today are gaining in diversity; think about what you want to do and choose the ones that will suit you.
