Paper crafting is becoming a much easier thing with the cricut cutting machine. Users do not need to own a computer and for those that want to craft at home, at work or even on holiday, the machine is even portable with a handle to carry it. Using cartridges that slot in to it the machine can cut out a seemingly endless amount of shapes, phrases and letters. Scrapbookers in particular find they would not do without the machine once they have one. Nearly all give it glowing reviews with general comments claiming it is better than its competition, teachers in particular would love it and that it is something the whole family can enjoy.
The machine cuts sizes from one inch to five and a half inches tall and eleven and half inches long. Pressure dials ensure crafters can use different papers and there are over 75 cartridges giving a huge variety of cutout options.
Recently a new addition the Expression machine gives more options letting you cut bigger with two cutting mats twelve inches by twenty four inches and 12 inches by 12 inches. Letters and shapes can be from a quarter of an inch up to twenty three and a half inches. Great for teachers creating lettering for display boards. The Cricut Expression also comes with an LCD screen so that you can see what you have programmed in for the next cut. Several new functions and six new modes means users can customize their cuts further than before, and there is a new ability to set language and different measurements. Not only great for schools but great for businesses too.
There is also the Cricut Create which is portable like the original but has more functionality like the Expression machine. Smaller in size than an Expression, the Create still has extra features and can cut quarter of an inch up to eleven and a half inch sized cutouts. It has a six inch by twelve inch cutting mat and has an eight way directional blade like the Expression. Portrait mode means you can cut taller pictures and fit to page mode means the cutout will be as large as possible. Auto fill mode will give you mass cut outs and there are also functions like Center point and Flip. Like the Expression it has a better screen than the original and a sleek design.
Cricut offers everything a paper crafter could need, cartridges with themes, shapes, fonts, paper shaping tools, cutting mats and even a tote to store it in. What more could you need to get crafting?
