If you are a crafter and have the Expression or Personal Cutting machines made by Provo Craft then you are probably aware of the latest accessory the Cricut Jukebox. This article is looking at what it does and whether it is worth the money to get it.

Some feel that the Jukebox is overpriced and is just a storage machine, a cartridge holder. After all it holds six cartridges and at the base has more storage for leaflets and overlays. Well that sounds good to me so far, no more rummaging around to find what I need, it’s all there in the Jukebox. But though that is part of what it does it does have more than that to offer.

The Jukebox is easy to carry and handle so if you need to take it to a friends to craft, no problem.
But the best part about it is the hassle it takes out of changing up cartridges. Usually the machine can only have one cartridge loaded so when you are done with shapes you need to get the font one and load it in etc. When Design studio came to us, a software for the pc, this was even more of a problem because the software allowed crafters to mix from several cartridges to make custom own designs.

But the Jukebox solves all of that as it plugs into the single port on the cutting machine and now instead of one cartridge you can put in six. But wait. You can actually attach 3 Jukeboxes because you can link them together so you now have 18 cartridges plugged in. The relief of not having to switch in and out all the time! This makes this new tool a great investment as your projects become even smoother and easier to complete.

The Cricut jukebox is retailed at $89.99 which is the price of a cartridge so it is not really that expensive in comparison. However if you shop around, check online and the sales there are probably cheaper Jukeboxes around.
